Flames were shooting out the front door of the Sugar Maple Lane home (in Crystal Springs) when firefighters arrived around 8:40 p.m.
The townhouse was damaged as a result of the fire.
Details were not immediately available as of Sunday morning.
Companies from Hamburg, Franklin, Ogdensburg, Vernon, Mcafee, Pochuck Valley, Sparta, Sussex and Montague also responded.
